Fire retardant clear or pigmented can be the difference between people surviving a fire or not being able to evacuate in time, as it gives a time delay between a fire starting and spreading.

It is two step system, consist of water or solvent based primary coat and solvent or water based top coat. In case of normal fire retardant properties, it require, only one coat of primary coat and one coat of top coat is sufficient , however to increase time of fire resistance duration , multi layer of primary coat are important , they can stand for two hour in case of fire
